The Eddie Barrel & The Jimmy Barrel – The Journey Continues with The Woodie Rascal Second Edition Release Party!
In September 2017 we had the pleasure of spending an afternoon in a warehouse at Wild Turkey sampling barrels with Eddie and Jimmy Russell and we selected two barrels – each one representing the stylistic vision of each of these two legendary Master Distillers. Two years ago at this time we released these two unique single barrel Russell’s Reserve Bourbons. We then took those two empty barrels to Lo Rez Brewing in Chicago and filled them with Hot Rod Rascal – a beer we created based on the Wild Turkey mash bill. Eight months later we released Woodie Rascal – as two single barrel beers that can be sampled side by side with the Whiskies that were in those barrels before! We then made another batch of Hot Rod Rascal and filled the barrels up a second time and so we will be offering the opportunity to sample both Whiskies and all five beers all together!
