After Hours at Hewn with FEW Spirits

Our next After Hours at Hewn class promises to be a fun and informative evening! Our friends from FEW Spirits will be joining us as we highlight our foray into using bourbon and gin in our products.
The evening will start with cocktails (supplied by FEW) and bourbon themed appetizers (supplied by Hewn). Paul Hletko, owner of FEW Spirits, will provide some insight and details about the distilling process and FEW’s bourbon. Ellen will also be joined by our Head Pastry Chef to show how we make our bourbon pecan tarts, bourbon maple monkey bread and other items.
Additionally, Ellen will discuss show how we use bourbon in our caramelized onion rye, which will be the special bread for the evening. Her presentation will include a demo that shows how we make the bread.
After the presentation, everyone will move into the kitchen to make flatbreads, which will be part of our light dinner for the evening.
